Eleven years ago I used https://www.jeremydorn.com/json-editor as a makeshift database for a simple website that used php include & angularJS, since then other than the dialog element nothing meaningful has changed in html5, css3 has managed to get 90% parity to scss & JavaScript is such a beast that any attempt to limit it to html attribute based instruction is a welcome step (alpineJS,htmx). PHP has seen some progress in expressjs like servers, although typing has progressed significantly but not as much as other languages.
